I started running consistently in ~April 2023, I used to mainly run 2ks but I’ve since upped my milage. I try to run ~20k a week balanced with strength training but for marathon training this has increased to ~50km per week on a healthy week. I started getting into running to get my cardio game up (although others and sometimes myself may have a different story ;)).

Beer Mile
I ran my first beer mile on May 30th, 2024 in 6:51 which was good for 1st place out of ~15 runners :)
10K PRs!
- I ran a sub 52:00 10k In August!
- I recently PR’d when I ran the SF half at 47:32 (Can almost surely take this down to sub 45:00)
The Toronto Waterfront Marathon
So I signed up for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon which is on October 19, 2025. My biggest challenge is balancing running volume with the other things I have going on in my life and staying consistent so I don’t get hurt. I also need to find a way to get my Lifts in there as well.
Half-Marathon
On July 27th, 2025 I ran my first official half-marathon in SF (1st half) where I ran a 1:43:44. My goal time was sub 1:45 and I was severely slacking in training as the race got closer so I’m very very happy with my time. 3:45 marathon coming next :).
Gear
- I daily train in Hoka Mach 6’s which I’ve been loving (great pop in these)
- I plan on racing in Nike Vapour Fly 3’s
- I use a Garmin Forerunner 165
- Still experimenting with different Gels
