I don’t really take written lecture notes anymore (I have essentially fully migrated to Obsidian for my knowledge base), but sometimes in certain courses I want to take notes that are just inherently more difficult to take in obsidian:
- Drawing circuit diagrams
- Writing proofs (you could make the argument that I just suck at LaTex)
The Solution
I use obsidian sync to synchronize my notes across my devices. If I use excalidraw on my ipad to take written notes when required and slot those into my markdown notes, that may work really well but I don’t know how that would render in Quartz:
- Update: It wouldn’t and it looks like the existing plugins would introduce bloat
- I could just insert Excalidraw anyways for my own use or use screenshots instead of inserts?
